About Scott Lippe, M.D.
Scott Lippe, M.D., is a board-certified gastroenterologist and internist with over two decades of experience in private practice diagnosing and treating diseases of the digestive tract, liver, and nutrition. He specializes in gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition, with a focus on liver diseases and inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University and went on to complete medical school at Mount Sinai in New York. Dr. Lippe completed his residency training at Albany Medical Center and pursued a dual fellowship in gastroenterology and nutrition at Winthrop-University Hospital. He is board-certified and re-certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology.
Throughout his career, Dr. Lippe has dedicated time as an emergency room physician at various VA Medical Centers and has authored numerous articles in the field of gastroenterology. Despite receiving many awards for his expertise, Dr. Lippe considers his greatest reward to be the ability to make a positive impact on his patients’ lives.
Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Lippe is a dedicated martial artist, holding a second-degree black belt in Shi-Do-Kan karate. He is also a proud father of eight children who values the importance of family.
Dr. Lippe offers a range of procedures, including colonoscopies, and liver biopsies. His goal as a physician is to provide personalized, compassionate care, treating each patient with the attention they deserve.
